MIDLAND, MICHIGAN
Midland, located west of Bay City and northwest of Saginaw, is situated where the Tittabawassee and Chippewa Rivers merge. It was originally known in the early 1800s as a fur trading post for the American Fur Trading Company. By the late 1800s the Dow Manufacturing Company was founded in Midland - its world headquarters is still located there. Downtown Midland is adjacent to a riverfront area and the “Tridge”, a three-way bridge that spans the spot where the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers meet.

Art inspires us and propels us forward, giving a voice to diverse experiences and people. Art is a catalyst for belonging and provides an opportunity to share our stories and be an observer.” -(midlandfoundation.org)
