ABOUT: This mural was originally created sometime before 1950 and was created by Saginaw artist Ike Kozak. When it was rediscovered in 2014, it was badly faded and damaged. Jim Fives, in an effort to restore the iconic sign, used peeling paint chips to color match new paint. Once completed, the sign serves as a window into Saginaw’s history, as well as an incentive to visit the Saginaw riverfront district.
