He has been commissioned for large scale reproductions of works by John Atkinson Grimshaw, John William Waterhouse, Lord Frederic Leighton, Sir Henry Landseers & Gustav Klimt, as well as original murals around the country. The mural finds a beautiful young woman caught dreaming about her life. James Perkins, a Saginaw resident, designed and created the mural painted in pastel blues, pinks, mauves, and bronzes with Italian landscape and architecture influence. The marbleized columns draw viewers’ attention to the woman, and one can’t help wondering, what are her far-off dreams? The mural is 45 feet by 40 feet and located on Hamilton Street in Old Town Saginaw on the former Case Funeral Home and funded by the Martineau Family Foundation, the Saginaw Community Foundation, and Larry and Maija Preston.
