ABOUT: As part of Studio 23's Art Around the City Event, artists were invited to submit their pieces. Only 50 would be selected, printed, and featured on plaques around Bay City. Janis Taylor gave an artist's statement for the project: "Janis Taylor is a photographer, painter, and graphite artist, and a member or the Great Lakes iPhoneography Group. She received her B.F.A. from Central Michigan University and currently lives in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She has worked in the field of commercial art for more than 40 years. She is inspired by the world, both the everyday and the extraordinary, and her work is “an offering of admiration.”
