About PublicArtPassport.com

Currently in its pilot phase, the Public Art Passport is fast becoming a comprehensive portal to public art in Michigan's Great Lakes Bay Region. Residents and visitors alike are able to explore 360-degree views of public art across Saginaw, Midland, and Bay City including public art hubs on regional college and university campuses.

Envisioned as an ever-expanding resource of and for the region, this website portal includes information about each public art work, google map locations and links for ease of visiting in person, and also highlights arts and cultural organizations in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
This project is made possible with the vision and support of the Jury Foundation of Saginaw.

The themes from the book The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, particularly "neighbors and "neighborhoods" will be the basis for three community artmaking projects throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.  Working with our arts partners, each of the three counties will select and hire a local artist to facilitate residents in the making of their own community artwork.

Everyone, regardless of the age or artistic ability, will be able to come together to create a shared community artwork they can take pride in.  It is special experiences like these that provide high quality of life in the region.

Great Lakes Bay Region

Walkable, riverfront towns where shops and eateries dot the blocks, with cozy stays situated near inviting freshwaters. Neighborhoods humming with low-key nightlife, where you’ll enjoy comfort food, local pours, and warm conversation. Historic theaters and alluring architecture, pristine art galleries and polished museums.

Experiences like these fill every pocket of these six magnetic cities. But if you’ve seen one of them? You’ve still only seen one. Because while unsalted freshwaters and unspoiled trails knit this nature-rich region together — each uptown, downtown, and edge of town adds its own splash of personality. Explore them all! - gogreat.com
