ABOUT: ​Arthur Schneider was a prominent Detroit-based sculptor who often depicted familial life as well as religious stories and icons. Children Playing Fountain depicts exactly that of the title: two children holding hands, swinging each other around, while another child sits reclining back onto his hands with his legs up in the air. The sculpture serves as a celebration of childhood.
