ABOUT: As part of Studio 23's Art Around the City Event, artists were invited to submit their pieces. Only 50 would be selected, printed, and featured on plaques around Bay City. Patricia Leng gave an artist's statement for the project: "Patricia Leng is a self-taught mixed-media artist who focuses on abstracts, including portraits inspired by people and cultures from around the world. She enjoys creating layers with hidden expressions within the piece that inspire the viewer to take time to explore and enjoy. She loves to use vintage ephemera. This piece is from the series “Women of the World,” which is done on vintage atlas pages."
