ABOUT: The Great Mural Project makes art accessible to the people of Saginaw and brightens previously blank walls and even utility boxes! Starting in 2022, the Great Mural Project and volunteering artists have been slowly brightening the streets of Saginaw with utility box art. According to Karly Schmidt, "Being creative is therapy for me. It's funny how sometimes you don't realize you need that creative outlet until you're immersed in it, seeing your ideas change and evolve with how you're thinking and feeling in that moment. I wanted this piece to represent the way our souls are naturally attracted to the things that offer light in our lives, like a moth to a lamp.
