ABOUT: The Midland Area Community Foundation selected fourteen artists to paint twelve benches and 2 picnic tables and transform them into usable murals in a move to beautify the downtown space and give the community an artistic voice. Artist Jordan Taylor gave an artist statement for the project, "​I am a life long Midland resident and artist working in multiple mediums. From community projects to galleries, my hope is to share my art with as many people as possible and inspire others.

My bench represents a community garden. A place where people meet and grow together, not just vegetables but also growing connections and friendships."
