ABOUT: Midland based artist Carolina Donoso unveiled Dancing in the Rain in August, 2023. The mural shows figures letting go of their umbrellas and embracing the multi-colored rain, all while dancing and laughing.
 
The piece was inspired by the artist’s own mental health struggles, which were exasperated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Donoso had recently graduated from Emerson College in 2021 and felt unsure of her future. The artist said in an interview: “I hope that ("Dancing in the Rain") is a reminder that you don't have to struggle alone. Processing your emotions and seeking help is an act of bravery and encourages others to do the same."
